Position Summary

RBCI is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician/Specialist (BMET/S) to support our DoD customer. Will be supporting the advanced development and fielding of military medical equipment, as well as participating in programs which oversee lifecycle maintenance and implementation. This position supports the Fort Detrick, MD location (Contractor office within 10 miles of Fort Detrick).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Familiar with the operations/function of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems.
  • Oversees equipment maintenance/life-cycle and systems testing, upgrading, and installing.
  • Liaison between the Radiology department, customers and vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge on all PACS systems and work processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and various departments/clinics to resolve issues on PACS system.
  • Oversees training to all new users for all PACS systems.
  • Understanding of ophthalmology workflows and the relation to PACS with ability to build or modify workflows.
  • Understanding of Government network structure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or a minimum of 8 years related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Public Trust Clearance, Desired: Secret Clearance.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with medical product development, DoD T&E requirements, and regulatory approval processes
  • The ability to travel to fixed facility hospitals is possible (potential for 2-8 trips annually)
  • Prepare and deliver documents ranging from technical reviews to acquisition documentation.
  • Experience working with Ophthalmology equipment and workflows.
