We are looking for an enthusiastic EKG Technician PRN to help us reach our goals. Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Our cardiovascular services teams are caring individuals committed to providing the highest quality care. We are looking for a new EKG Technician. Our EKG or Stress Tech will perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records and provide direct patient care to patients of all ages. **Duties and responsibilities include:** + Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias. + Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff. + Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment. + Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems. + Performs duties with full understanding of related age specific factors. + Orients and mentors new staff members. + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Qualifications** + High school or GED + Successful completion of 16 hour EKG course within 90 days of employment + 1 years' experience required hospital setting preferred + BLS (American Heart Association) + Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380+ bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
