About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing maintenance company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take full ownership of our financial recordkeeping, billing, and job costing.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Handle billing, invoicing, and receivables with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the company accountant to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
- Oversee financial processes and ensure timely job costing for all projects.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budget tracking.
- Ensure all financial documentation is organized and audit-ready.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience , preferably in construction, facilities, or maintenance industries.
- Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (or other accounting software).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership and control of financial processes with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
