Job Title: Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Job Description

Join a top-rated hospital system renowned for its excellence in cancer care, designated as a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Comprehensive Cancer Care Center. This role involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to implement evidence-based medication therapy management. As an integral member of the team, you'll participate in training pharmacy students and residents and contribute to policy and guideline development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rounding with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management.
  • Actively participate in the training and mentorship of pharmacy students and residents.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and guidelines.
  • Engage in local and system-level committees and workgroups in your area of expertise.

Essential Skills

  • Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy with an ASHP accredited residency or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Registered pharmacist in the State of Ohio or eligibility for registration.
  • Experience or training in Oncology, preferably through a PGY2 Residency or clinical specialist role.
  • Strong clinical care and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective information exchange during rounding.

  • Motivated and patient care-centered approach.
  • Ability to provide concise, appropriate information during clinical rounds.

Work Environment

The position is based in an inpatient environment where you'll collaborate closely with patients, providers, and ancillary healthcare staff. Professional interaction is essential to ensure the highest standards of care.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $114000.00 - $146000.00/yr.
