Job Description
- Direct and assist MAs and PCRs to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Communicate assignments and provide backup support as needed.
- Delegate work assignments to balance workload and promote efficiency.
- Coordinate with PCRs and MAs to monitor patient registration and provider workload.
- Ensure adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Coach and motivate staff to enhance engagement and retention.
- Implement systems to improve patient intake, flow, and satisfaction.
- Monitor customer service quality and ensure adherence to protocols.
- Report opportunities for patient care improvements to management.
- Ensure coverage for clinical and clerical support areas as needed.
- Troubleshoot daily staff issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic quality standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
- Promote teamwork between clinical and clerical areas.
- Support training new MAs and PCRs as assigned.
- Lead department meetings and attend organizational leadership meetings.
- Monitor budget and practice cost-effective measures.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Medical Assistants:
- Supervise MAs in patient history documentation, treatments, and medication administration.
- Assist with VFC audits and Quarterly Metric compliance.
- Coordinate medical supply orders under supervision.
- Serve as liaison between Walk-In Wellness Center and Emergency Department triage.
- Monitor quality control checks on medical equipment and diagnostic tests.
- Monitor lab electronic billing processes.
- Monitor room assignments and transitions during clinic shifts.
- Patient Care Representatives:
- Liaison for managed care services and program policies implementation.
- Maintain EMR and insurance coverage knowledge.
- Ensure accuracy of batch money and petty cash handling.
- Implement workflows to enhance clerical staff efficiency.
- Manage physician appointment scheduling via EMR.
- Monitor office supplies within budget limits and handle appointment scheduling and calls.
Experience/Training - High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Certifications/Licenses - Current and valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to move around the clinic site 50% of the time.
- Constantly operates a computer, computer printer, copy machine, and telephone.
- Occasionally positions self to maintain exertion of physical strength to move objects of 10 pounds from one level to another.
- Must be able to transport from one site to another.
- Must be able to cover other shifts as necessary.
Language Skills - Ability to read and write proficiently using the English language.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred/at some locations required.
