Compensation (Hourly – Based on Experience):
Under 1 year: $27.42/hr
2–3 years: $29.89/hr
4–5 years: $31.12/hr
6–7 years: $32.36/hr
9–10+ years: $33.59/hr
16+ years: $36.95/hr
Shift Differentials:
Nights: $4.25/hr
Weekends: $3.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (Nights Only)
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists (RRT or CRT) to join a high-acuity acute care environment serving adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation, performing diagnostic testing, and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced critical care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver routine and advanced respiratory therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol therapy, and ventilator management.
Set up, operate, and maintain respiratory equipment for acute and chronic care.
Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
Monitor patient responses to therapies, recognize side effects, and adjust care as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families.
Educate patients, caregivers, and clinical staff as appropriate.
Recognize and report signs of abuse or neglect according to policy and regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with departmental, clinical, and regulatory standards.
Participate in emergency response and resuscitation efforts as required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred in ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or other critical care settings (home care or long-term care experience considered).
Active Florida State Respiratory Therapy license.
NBRC credential (RRT or CRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
