The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, has strong communication skills, and understands the unique dynamics of cannabis retail.

Responsibilities

Account Management & Growth

  • Manage a defined portfolio of existing retail accounts while partnering closely with the Sr. Territory Manager to ensure consistent coverage and support.
  • Strengthen retailer relationships through regular in-person visits, merchandise reviews, menu audits, and sell-in/sell-through conversations.
  • Identify, open, and activate new accounts statewide, prioritizing high-value doors and strategic partners.
  • Track account performance, monitor velocity by SKU, and communicate opportunities for upsell, resets, reorders, and expanded SKU placements.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, pricing strategies, and promotional calendars in every account.

Field Execution

  • Conduct in-store demos, consumer sampling, staff trainings, and brand events to drive trial, awareness, and repeat purchase.
  • Manage event materials, POS assets, and GWP (gift-with-purchase) execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing to schedule and execute store events that align with statewide promotional pushes and new SKU launches.
  • Support merchandising efforts: checking inventory, adjusting shelf sets, maintaining menu accuracy, and placing signage.

Sales Strategy & Reporting

  • Assist the Sr. Territory Manager in building and executing a territory sales plan that increases monthly revenue and market penetration.
  • Log all account interactions, notes, wins, and follow-ups in the CRM (Monday.com/Ohanify/Salesforce once integrated).
  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance to identify gaps or growth opportunities across SKUs, doors, and regions.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, pricing changes, and consumer behavior.
  • Partner with distribution teams (if applicable) to ensure proper inventory flow, delivery accuracy, and account service levels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal sales leadership to align on quarterly goals, new SKU rollouts, pricing strategies, and promotional programming.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasts and timely product availability.
  • Support team initiatives such as QBRs, territory reviews, training days, and new hire onboarding.

Compliance & Professionalism

  • Maintain full compliance with all Arizona state regulations for cannabis advertising, product handling, transport, and sampling.
  • Uphold brand professionalism and represent Uncle Arnie's at all times during account visits, events, and interactions.
  • Follow all internal SOPs, KPIs, and sales processes.

Travel & Schedule

  • 50–70% travel within Arizona (Phoenix-metro, Tucson, Flagstaff, and surrounding regions).
  • Occasional travel for regional meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and corporate events.
  • Evening and weekend availability for major events, demos, and launches.

Required Skill Sets and Experience

  • 1–3+ years of sales, field marketing, or account management experience (cannabis, beverage, CPG, or alcohol preferred).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and retail staff.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand category trends, and translate insights into action.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a high-activity field schedule.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs (event materials, product, POS).
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Monday.com, HubSpot, etc.) preferred.
