Aakriti Newage Foundation, established in 2019 by a passionate group of university students in South Rajasthan, is committed to supporting women, children and rural communities. Our multifaceted approach encompasses education, skill development, health initiatives, sustainable practices, inclusion of sports and developing social and market awareness.
We are putting our words into action by steering various drives that contribute to the well-being of humankind. We are currently running four types of drives that are Awareness, Distribution, Education, and Skill drives in our operational zone in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Living in a better environment with all the basic sets of amenities must not be an option but a right to experience for everyone, and to make people more receptive to the critical issues being faced by the deprived sector of society and the measures required to uplift their condition, our awareness drive turns out to be an ultimate companion.
We aim to develop self-reliance, thereby concentrating on empowering the female gender through skills development, the provision of menstrual hygiene education, growing resources locally and increased access to higher education and technical training. We’re a registered Section 8 company named ‘Newage Evolution Foundation’ with 12A, 80G and CSR-1 certificates, which guarantees open and ethical practices as well as authorisation for conducting CSR activities. We are currently working in three tribal villages around Udaipur; however, we organise various drives around South Rajasthan.
We have worked together with government schools, municipal malls, Udaipur traffic police, the election commission and local radio stations (MY FM 94.3) to organise donation drives, sports distribution and raise awareness. We are currently working with Caratlane—A Tanishq Partnership, under their CSR sports initiative for empowering players for sports opportunities and providing sports equipment as well as infrastructure development in government schools in South Rajasthan.

Our Journey till Now –
2019: A group of friends just visited a lake to be in the serene beauty of it after their day got over and decided to visit a nearby village after watching young kids selling fruits without clothes. On their first visit, they assembled a few villagers and children to know what going on here and to know the problems they face in their daily lives. After listening to them, the desire to do something for them aroused and from that day every week these young college freshers assembled there, distributing nutritious food to children, providing free education and along with teaching skills to girls and women.
2020: They officially started the Aakriti Newage Foundation. Following the activities of the previous year and getting good responses from villagers they decided to set up education & distribution camps in government schools and medical camps in collaboration with the Taj group in villages.
2021: Carrying forward the previous year, with the advent of Covid the teams visits were less but whenever the chance came the visits resumed. This year they started giving skill training to tribal women and young girls regarding sewing machines, tote bags, creative bottles etc.
2022: At the height of covid pandemic regular visits were conducted following safety protocols. Revenue started generating from the sale of products. With already in two villages, a third village was visited and we started all these activities in that village also. Now we have a hold on three villages in the same area. Started a tree plantation in the monsoon this year.
2023: This year started when the warmth project was going on in full flow and it saw successful distribution of 1,111 sweaters. The team also started working on a collection of all kinds of resources from donors with local FM broadcasters, the election commission to spread youth voting awareness and the traffic department to spread road safety awareness. Started warmth 2.0 at the end of this year and gave a focus on sustainability with eco-printing.
Local Wisdom, Global Impact: We believe in harnessing the potential of local resources and traditional knowledge to create sustainable solutions.
Dignity, Not Charity: Aakriti prioritises the dignity of those we serve which develops self-reliance and empowerment over handouts.
Waste Not, Want Not: We champion a circular economy, maximizing the use of every resource to minimise waste and environmental impact.
Stronger Together: Collaboration is key. Aakriti works with partners to amplify our reach and effectiveness.
Equality in Action: We view all stakeholders – from donors to beneficiaries – as equal partners in building a better future.
Aakriti as a Catalyst: We envision a future where innovative solutions, driven by community participation and resourcefulness transform the rural landscapes.
Harnessing a Parallel Economy: Aakriti wants to create a parallel economy that is not CASH-based but TRASH-based, where every work doesn’t have to wait for money; instead, huge quantities of old reusable material are turning into a valuable resource.
To Build a connection of empathy, dignity, and value between the issues of the resourceful and resource-scarce. We also leverage and explore the potential and possibilities of already available resources, wisdom, time, skills, and efforts of people. We have a human-centred and community-led approach; Root ideas in the community; are built from the context, culture, knowledge, wisdom, resources, needs, and aspirations of people.
We want to create a world where cities and villages can grow and improve in ways that are good for the environment in the long run. Along with this, we want to help everyone involved, from residents to businesses, work together to find creative solutions. By listening carefully and treating everyone with respect, they can come up with ideas that make our world a healthier and more vibrant place. We’re also open to learning new things and adapting to change because the best solutions come from understanding how people and nature work together.
