Feeding for Education

Sabse Pehle Poshan

Hunger shall not hinder children from receiving education and working towards a bright future! The pandemic has pushed millions of people into poverty. It has also increased the inequalities between the different sections. People have been deprived of nutrition and health and so have their children. The pandemic has pushed India backwards regarding employment, accessibility and affordability.
We at Aakriti Newage Foundation conduct weekly drives to distribute and serve nutritious food to tribal and rural children along with education drives because only a healthy body can have a healthy mind. According to the study by the Comprehensive National Nutrition Survey (CNNS) India encounters a big issue with undernutrition in children specifically in rural setups. India’s wide-ranging studies show that about 35.5% on average of children under four are underfed for their age. The factors leading here include poverty, inability to obtain balanced meals and ineffective strategies that may support breastfeeding.
We do not serve food to adults in general but to pregnant mothers and mothers with infants along with children up to 18 who come to our classes for education and skill training in all of our villages. This serves our purpose of educating them, providing them with nutrition and letting them learn whatever skill they want to gain which can only be met when their stomach is well-fed. Donate to us as this is the best way to make a difference in the lives of these children.
